Catch of the day in Poreč – fresh Adriatic fish, every day
The sea writes a new menu every day. At Oli Mare we serve the catch of the day – fresh fish our fishermen brought in from the Adriatic that very morning.

The sea writes a new menu every day. At Oli Mare Fish & Wine in Poreč there is no frozen fish and no fixed offer – we serve what our fishermen pulled out of the Adriatic that morning. That is why the catch of the day changes daily, depending on the weather, the sea and the fisherman's luck.
The selection alternates between premium fish such as sea bass, sea bream, dentex and John Dory, and everyday Adriatic fish equally loved in Istrian kitchens – amberjack, pandora, scorpionfish and red mullet. The catch of the day costs between €7.00 and €9.00 per 100 g, depending on the species, and we always show you the fish before it is cooked.
Fresh Adriatic fish does not ask for much. We usually grill it with Istrian olive oil, garlic, parsley and lemon, served with the classic Mediterranean side of Swiss chard and potatoes. For a richer taste, the fish can be oven baked, cooked buzara style, or baked in salt – techniques that keep the flesh moist and the flavour of the sea intact.
The catch of the day pairs beautifully with Istrian white wines. Istrian Malvazija, with its freshness and notes of green apple and almond, is one of the best matches for grilled white fish, while barrel-aged, more mineral styles work with oilier fish and truffle dishes.
If you are looking for a seafood restaurant in Poreč where freshness is shown rather than promised, ask our waiter what arrived today. We will gladly recommend a fish that was swimming in the Adriatic only a few hours ago. From the sea to your plate – fresh, local and honest.
