Sea Bruschetta – our house special with anchovies, octopus and prawns
Six bruschette on crisp bread: two with anchovies, two with octopus and two with prawns. A fishermen's tradition served in a modern way, €18.00.

Sea Bruschetta is one of the house specialties at Oli Mare in Poreč. The portion brings six pieces of bruschetta on crisp bread – two topped with anchovies, two with octopus and two with prawns – for €18.00.
Fishermen once put on their bread whatever the sea had given them best that day. Bread was the base of the meal, and the catch was what gave it flavour. Inspired by that tradition, our bruschette combine the authentic tastes of the Adriatic with a modern way of serving.
Mediterranean anchovies come with garlic, parsley and olive oil – salty, punchy and a perfect way to start the evening. Cooked octopus is served with olive oil, lemon and fresh herbs, tender and juicy. Prawns arrive with fresh herbs, lemon and Istrian extra virgin olive oil.
The bruschette are ideal for sharing at the table, alongside a glass of Malvazija or Teran rosé. If you are dining as a group, we often recommend them as the first course before black squid-ink pasta or grilled fish, since in three bites they show the full range of flavours our sea has to offer.
For guests visiting our seafood restaurant in Poreč for the first time, Sea Bruschetta is the fastest way to get to know the kitchen at Oli Mare: simple ingredients, fresh catch, and respect for a tradition we have kept alive for years.
